Giraffe Manor offers a rich blend of comfortable accommodation and highly trained, friendly, attentive staff, as well as one of Nairobi's finest kitchens. The beautiful formal English garden is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some outdoor living. Approximately 40 minutes from Nairobi airport, Giraffe Manor is set in 12 acres of private land within 140 acres of indigenous forest in the Langata suburb of Nairobi. As well as the giraffe, the property is also home to many species of birds, large families of warthogs and the elusive bushbuck. The historic manor house has extraordinary appeal, that harks back to the 1930s. With its stately facade, elegant interior, verdant green gardens, sunny terraces and delightful courtyards, it's like walking into the film 'Out of Africa': indeed, one of its twelve rooms is named after the author Karen Blixen. Delicious food and drinks are served either in the manor or outside in the stunning garden. A massage therapist is on-site for treatments and sightseeing vehicles are available for local tourist attractions.
