Bomani Tented Lodge is situated in a private concession on the magnificent Ngamo Plain on the edge of the remote and unspoilt southeastern corner of Hwange National Park.
Bomani is famous for its massive herds of elephants as well as its unique and diverse landscapes, from impressive forests of teak and other hardwoods to some of the largest savannah grasslands in the park.
The lodge is built on communal land - concession fees and royalties are paid to local village communities which help them to improve schools, domestic water supplies and clinics.
Situated on a 5000 acre private reserve within the Ngamo Forest Area, Hwange National Park.
The main lodge is an open fronted thatch building with a dining room, bar and lounge built on a spectacular viewing deck. At Bomani you can enjoy day and night game drives and escorted game walks. Game viewing blinds at some of the waterholes are ideal for wildlife photography. Fifteen minutes drive from the lodge you can enjoy a glimpse of village life in rural Matabeleland. A fascinating experience of a variety of typical daily village activities is followed by a tour of one of the nearby schools, conducted by the headmaster, where you are given the opportunity to hear traditional songs sung by the children and enjoy a 'class interaction'.
The 10 guest tents, all have en suite bathrooms, are comfortably furnished with either twin, double, queen or king sizes beds and a small seating area. They are designed to keep out all creatures great and small.
