This 8-night South Africa journey is carefully curated for travellers who want to see more than just one face of the country. Instead of a short city stay followed by a single safari, the route layers Cape Town with wine, countryside and coast, so you move through the landscapes rather than just passing them.  

You will begin in the heart of Cape Town, with easy access to Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront and the city’s best restaurants, then ease into the rolling vineyards around Stellenbosch. From there, the road leads into the rocky plains of the Little Karoo, through small farming towns and local projects, and finally along the dramatic Garden Route coastline before a short but powerful encounter with the Big Five in a private reserve.

The wildlife chapter is short but intense, with a night in a private game reserve and morning and afternoon game drives that bring you as close to the Big Five as the landscape allows.  This is enough opportunity to spot Lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo; the drives are conducted with professional guides in shared 4x4 vehicles. You will finish the journey along the Garden Route, with a stay near Plettenberg Bay and the chance to take in the Map of Africa viewpoint and the “Beautiful Bay” coastline.
