Somak Special Offers
This journey is for travellers who want to feel Namibia at its wildest, from cool Atlantic breezes in Swakopmund to shores scarred by shipwrecks, desert rhinos and the big game of Etosha.
You will start in the seaside town of Swakopmund, with its palm-lined streets and relaxed coastal feel, then go north to the Skeleton Coast for an all-inclusive stay at the Shipwreck Lodge, where sand dunes meet crashing waves and cabins echo the shipwrecks outside. From there, you’ll head into remote Damaraland to look for deserted wildlife with expert guides and rhino trackers, then spend time in Etosha National Park from both the southern and eastern sides, following waterholes and plains that attract an incredible mix of animals. A final night at Otjiwa Private Game Reserve gives you one last taste of the bush, with game drives and dinner under the stars. It is a trip full of contrasts, drama and quiet moments that stay with you.

Why You’ll Love This Trip!
You will love this holiday if you enjoy feeling far from the everyday but still want comfort at the end of each day. It gives you Swakopmund’s easy coastal charm as a gentle starting point, then quickly takes you into landscapes that feel almost otherworldly, such as the Skeleton Coast, where sand meets sea and shipwrecks sit in the mist. Staying at Shipwreck Lodge and Desert Rhino Camp adds a sense of “once in a lifetime” to the journey, with cabins and tents that feel part of the story of the land rather than just places to sleep.
In Etosha, the focus shifts to classic big game viewing. Waterholes become your windows into wildlife life, with elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes and many antelope species all drawn to the same precious resources. The mix of guided drives and walks means you see both the big animals and the smaller details, from tracks to birds. Ending at Otjiwa with a game drive and dinner under the stars brings everything together, leaving you with memories of wild coasts, desert hills, busy waterholes and quiet campfires.
