Begin with three nights at Pinewood Beach Resort & Spa on Galu Beach, easing gently into the rhythm of the Indian Ocean. Think long days spent on the beach splashing in the warm shallows with sand between your toes. Then board the Madaraka Express, Kenya's modern SGR service, for a scenic journey inland to Voi - gliding through the wild expanses of Tsavo with wildlife often grazing alongside the tracks. From there it's a short transfer to Soroi Cheetah Tented Camp in the Lumo Conservancy for three nights, a wild corner of southern Kenya bordering Tsavo West and the Taita Hills, where elephant herds drift across red-earth plains and Kilimanjaro rises on the horizon.
