Day 1 - Wednesday Or Sunday - Lake Nakuru
Your Kenyan adventure begins with a warm welcome from Somak upon your arrival at Nairobi Airport. Your dedicated driver will provide a seamless transfer to the hotel for you to refresh before commencing your journey.
As you leave the city, you will see the landscapes change as your drive (160km) takes you through changing landscapes, where you'll pass local settlements and observe daily life, including cattle and herders along the way. You'll arrive at the tranquil shores of Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. Lake Nakuru National Park, set in the heart of the Great Rift Valley, is a paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife lovers alike. In the reserve is a protected rhino sanctuary, established by the Kenyan government in 1984 with the introduction of two adult rhinos, and where since 100 others have been added. It is currently home to the largest number of black rhinos in the country. The shimmering lake is famed for its seasonal gatherings of pink flamingos, creating a breathtaking spectacle along the shoreline. With over 400 bird species recorded, from pelicans and storks to fi sh eagles, the area is alive with avian activity. Day 2 - Thursday Or Monday - Masai Mara
After an early breakfast, you will set out towards the world-renowned Masai Mara. The journey of approximately 225km will take you through diverse landscapes. Upon reaching the gates of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, the landscape transforms, and the true safari adventure begins. Keep your camera ready, as your expert Somak driver-guide will start pointing out wildlife as you make your way to your accommodation within the heart of the reserve.
Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed with warm hospitality and panoramic views. Enjoy lunch and settle in before heading out in the late afternoon for your first game drive. Accompanied by your guide, you will traverse the iconic plains, enhancing your chances of spotting the magnifi cent 'big five' -lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino. This reserve is a place where Africa's wild heart beats strong-a mosaic of golden grasslands, acacia groves, and winding rivers alive with wildlife. Renowned for its thriving big cats and the legendary Great Migration, the Mara is a stage for nature's grandest spectacles. Lions lounge in the shade, elephants parade across the plains, and giraffes stretch for the treetops, while hippos and crocodiles patrol the riverbanks. Day 3 - Friday Or Tuesday - Masai Mara
Wake up to the sounds of the bush as you embark on an exhilarating early morning game drive, a prime time for spotting predators. Your expert driver-guide will lead you through the vast plains, increasing your chances of encountering cheetahs, elephants, or, during the great migration months, the awe-inspiring spectacle of vast wildebeest herds. Afterwards, return to camp for breakfast.
After lunch, venture out once more for an afternoon game drive. This offers another opportunity to explore more of the majestic Mara's unparalleled wealth of wildlife, seeking out new sightings and capturing unforgettable moments.Alternate option for this day (own cost):
Consider an early morning hot air balloon flight over the Mara. Witness the sunrise paint the plains below, followed by a celebratory 'bubbly' bush breakfast. After this incredible experience, enjoy a game drive before returning to camp for a hot lunch.

Day 4 - Saturday Or Wednesday - Return
After breakfast, prepare for your onward journey. As you begin your departure from the Masai Mara Game Reserve, keep your camera ready for your last glimpse of wildlife within this iconic park. Your road journey back to Nairobi, approximately 270km, will take you through changing landscapes.
Alternatively, for a different perspective, you may opt for a scenic morning flight from the Masai Mara directly to Nairobi (own cost).
