Our Sponsorship of Sweatshirts for the Parkfield Youth Football Club in Hatch End
As a family-run business, we know just how much difference the support of the local community can make. That’s why we were keen to sponsor new football sweatshirts for Parkfield Youth Football Club, located in the John Rumney Playing Fields, in Hatch End.
Meeta, who is a key member of our reservations team, has a close affiliation to Parkfield Youth Football Club as her son Ryan has been playing football with them for over 4 years. He started off in the Under 7’s team and is now playing in the Under 12’s team, called the Owls.
The club itself has an impressive history, having started fielding teams in 1945 and fielded their first youth teams in the early 1960s. Since then the club has grown to be one of the biggest and most highly regarded clubs in the Hatch End area. They currently field 21 boys youth teams ranging from U7 to U18.
We are so delighted to have this opportunity to support this wonderful local club through sponsorship of the sweatshirts and show our encouragement for a local sport that means so much to Meeta and her son.
The cost of football kits and sports clothing can really add up and by helping to take some of these costs away we wanted to ensure that the team all have a matching kit so as to bring pride and a real team spirit, as well as not to dissuade anyone from taking part.
We at Somak Holidays really value the importance of children being part of a local sports team and we are very happy to have the opportunity to show our support for all the great work that Parkfield Youth Football Club does.
By helping to enhance a team spirit in youth sports we believe it encourages positive behaviour as well as learned responsibilities, which are key for personal development in young children. By wearing matching sweatshirts they have the pride of being part of the same team as well as the pride of representing Parkfield Youth Football Club.
We wish the team success in their games and hope that the boys enjoy playing in their new sweatshirts.
