Weddings at Fundu Lagoon

The chic, bohemian vibe of Fundu Lagoon makes it a great destination for an intimate wedding on the tranquil beaches of Pemba Island. With the Indian Ocean as a backdrop, sand underneath your toes and local fragrant hibiscus flowers scattered around, recite your vows to each other surrounded by friends and family or simply the two of you, at one with
nature.

As Pemba Island is off the beaten track, we select individuals from our little black book to fly in from Zanzibar according to your requirements. These include Father Charles to perform the ceremony accompanied by a jazz duo, a wedding planner, hair and makeup artists and a photographer. Furthermore, Fundu Lagoon takes care of all the legalities and documentation, leaving you to enjoy the day. The wedding breakfast, wedding cake and a selection of drinks and cocktails are all included within your stay at the resort. Delicious, fresh seafood can be served buffet style on the beach. Our wine list, including fine champagnes, is also available on request. For something special, a traditional ‘dhow’ boat is on hand to sail you around the turquoise waters and celebrate in style with champagne and canapés on board, whether it be for a private romantic moment for two or with up to sixteen of your nearest and dearest. How much to glam up the day is entirely up to you – Fundu Lagoon offers a simple hair and make-­‐up service or you can opt for a more elaborate look, created by professionals. Exotic flowers can also be sourced on request.

Fundu Lagoon is suitable for small wedding groups of up to ten people or, alternatively, the resort can be hired exclusively for approximately 35 guests.
