Nairobi
After your Kenya or Tanzania safari transfer to Ole-Sereni Hotel in Nairobi for overnight.
Day 2 Kigali – Parc National de Volcans
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Kigali. Met and driven to Musanze
in the northwest part of Rwanda (110km – approximately 2 hours 30 minutes) and then
on to your chosen lodge. (b,l,d)
Day 3 Parc National de Volcans – Gorilla Trekking
A very early morning transfer to the Park Office for gorilla trekking formalities before
starting your trek. Treks vary in duration depending on which gorilla group you are
assigned to. After locating your assigned gorilla group, you will spend approximately one
hour in their company before heading back down the volcano slopes. Lunch at the lodge
with the afternoon to relax. Overnight at your chosen lodge. (b,l,d)
Day 4 Kigali
Another opportunity for gorilla trekking or a Golden Monkey trek (optional extras), or
morning at leisure at your lodge. After lunch drive back to Kigali. Overnight: Kigali Serena
Hotel. (b,l)
Day 5 Nairobi
Transfer to Kigali airport and fly to Nairobi. (b)

Day 1
Daily
Nairobi
After your Kenya or Tanzania safari transfer to Ole-Sereni Hotel for overnight.
Day 2 Kigali – Nyungwe National Park.
After breakfast depart for the airport for your flight to Kigale. Drive to Huye for lunch
(150 km – approximately 2 hours 30 minutes). If time permits, visit the Rwanda National
Museum. Drive to Nyungwe National park (150 km – 3 hours 30 minutes). Overnight at
your chosen accommodation. (b,l,d)
Day 3 Nyungwe National Park – Chimps Trekking
After a very early wake up call, depart for a hike into Nyungwe Forest in search of chimps,
Colobus monkeys and forest birds. In the afternoon relax or enjoy optional activities offered
by the lodge and the park. Overnight at your chosen accommodation. (b,l,d)
Day 4 Nyungwe National Park – Lake Kivu
After breakfast drive to Karongi, on the shores of Lake Kivu and then on to your chosen
accommodation (approximately 3 hours 30 minutes to Cormoran Lodge and 6 hours to
Lake Kivu Serena Lodge). Lake Kivu is the largest of all lakes that fill the valleys of Rwanda.
If time permits take a boat ride to visit nearby islands (optional extra). Overnight at your
chosen accommodation. (b,l,d)
Day 5 Karongi – Parc National de Volcans
Spend the morning at the Lake. After lunch drive to Musanze in the northwest part of
Rwanda, the main base for gorilla tracking (170 km – approximately 4 hours 30 minutes).
Overnight at your chosen accommodation. (b,l,d)
Day 6 Parc National de Volcans – Gorilla Trekking
A very early morning transfer to the Park Office for gorilla trekking formalities before starting
your trek. Treks vary in duration depending on which gorilla group you are assigned to. After
