Buhoma Lodge Buhoma Lodge

This quality, intimate and relaxing lodge offers spectacular views of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National. Mountain gorillas have even been seen in the Lodge garden occasionally!
Buhoma Lodge was built using sustainable local materials where possible, with the emphasis on natural products, which has given support to the local communities. The use of solar power in the cottages for lighting, and in a central area for recharging videos and cameras is all part of the ethos of sustainability at Buhoma.

Location of Buhoma Lodge

Five minutes walk from Bwindi Park Headquarter.

Facilities at Buhoma Lodge

Relive the day's sightings and activities in the cosy lounge, dining and bar area. Meals are freshly prepared from local produce, offering a balance of international and local cuisine. Hot beverages are available throughout the day on a self-service basis, but morning tea or coffee is brought to your cottage, allowing you to savour the early morning sounds of the forest as it awakens. Activities include mountain gorilla tracking, forest walks, guided walk through local village, guided bird-watching walks, visit to local hospital, orphanage and school and visit the Batwa Pygmy tribe. After all the activity why not enjoy a massage which is available at the lodge?
