Met at Colombo International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Chilaw (approx. transfer time 2 hours). Later in the evening, meet with your tour guide who will go through the final details of your tour ahead.

After breakfast, depart inland to the Cultural Triangle, a melting pot of heritage, culture and wildlife and home to a wealth of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, head towards Sigiriya (approx. transfer time 3.5 hours). In the afternoon visit the 5th Century Sigiriya Rock and tour the Fortress, one of Sri Lanka's World Heritage Sites and one of the island's most awe-inspiring archaeological attractions, perhaps the most fantastic single wonder on the island.

Drive to Polonnaruwa (approx. transfer time 1 hour), another World Heritage Site, containing the well-preserved monuments of the medieval capital of Sri Lanka, located amongst undulating woodland. The well-preserved ruins of Polonnaruwa tell a story of Buddhism, royalty, kinship, war and power, and provide you with the opportunity to experience the grandeur of this period and marvel at the artistry of the island's early craftsmen. Meet with the locals for an interactive Sri Lankan cooking experience and lunch. In the afternoon visit Minneriya National Park for a jeep safari. Return to Sigiriya.

After breakfast depart for Kandy (approx. transfer time 2.5 - 3 hours), en route visit Dambulla Cave Temple, another World Heritage Site and home to the marvellous temples whose walls are covered with murals exceeding 21,000 square feet. Depart and head south towards Sri Lanka's spectacular hill country. Visit the Kandy Temple which houses the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, Kandy Bazaar, Arts & Craft Centre, and Gem Museum. Evening enjoy a cultural dance performance.

In the morning, visit the Royal Botanical Garden at Peradeniya, Sri Lankan's largest and finest gardens. Originally established as a pleasure garden for Kandyan nobility, the British transformed it into botanical gardens in 1821, laying the foundations for what it has become today. Depart for Nuwara Eliya (approx. transfer time 2.5 - 3 hours), the most scenic drive in the country as you pass through tea country with the mountains carpeted in tea, numerous waterfalls and tea pickers. En route, stop at a tea factory to see the processing and taste some of Sri Lanka's famous tea.
