Day 1 Sunday Johannesburg

Met on arrival at Johannesburh Airport and transferred to your hotel (40 km - approximately 45 minutes). Spend the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening a tour briefing will be held with the chance to meet your fellow travellers.

Day 2 Monday Pretoria - Hazyview

Depart by 8am leaving Johannesburg's distinctive skyline behind and head for Pretoria, South Africa's capital city, for a short orientation tour before continuing to Mpumalanga. Dropping several hundred feet into the lush subtropical region of the Lowveld, we travel via the historic towns of Dullstroom and Lydenburg. After traversing the famous Long Tom Pass, we travel via Sabie and arrive late afternoon into Hazyview, the safari hub of the Kruger National Park (425 kms).

Day 3 Tuesday Hazyview

After an early morning breakfast, journey up the awe inspiring Panorama Route with its forested mountains and fertile plains. After viewing the Blyde River Canyon (home to the Three Rondavels), Bourke's Luck Potholes and God's Window, arrive back in Hazyview in the early afternoon. The free time allows for a lazy afternoon relaxing around the pool or an exciting afternoon game experience in the Kruger National Park (own account). (320 kms)

Day 4 Wednesday Hazyview

Set off before breakfast for a morning in search of lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard, and all manner of wondrous bird and plant species. Savour the magic of this enormous wilderness. Return to Hazyview around lunch time and enjoy an afternoon at leisure. For the animal enthusiast, an additional afternoon game drive in the park or an unforgettable elephant interaction is available as an optional extra (own account). (120 km).

Day 5 Thursday The Kingdom Of Swaziland

Enjoy an enchanting drive to the tiny Kingdom of Swaziland, a former British Protection Territory, now ruled by King MsWati III. An interactive cultural experience will introduce you to the charming people of Swaziland and their traditions. Continue through the capital city, Mbabane, and on to the beautiful Ezulwini Valley for a true African shopping experience at the vibrant Ezulwini Craft Market which is packed with woven baskets, beadwork and carvings. Day 6 Friday The Kingdom Of The Zulu

After a leisurely breakfast we travel into Zululand, passing traditional round huts and endless vistas. We arrive mid-afternoon at our hotel in the Umfolozi area. (360 km)

Day 7 Saturday Durban

Enjoy a cruise on Lake St Lucia before travelling along the lush coastline to Durban (270 km - approximately 3 hours 30 minutes). Check into your hotel after lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure.

Day 8 Sunday Port Elizabeth - Knysna

You will be transferred for your morning flight from Durban to Port Elizabeth. On arrival your new guide will take you to the impressive indigenous Tsitsikamma Forest and then to Knysna, a beautiful town at the heart of the Garden Route (280 km - approximately 3 hours 30 minutes).

Day 9 Monday Knysna

Take a cruise on the Knysna Lagoon and visit the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Afternoon free to relax and enjoy the shops and restaurants in the town.

Day 10 Tuesday Oudtshoorn

Travel via the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn, centre of the country's ostrich farming industry. After lunch visit an ostrich farm before heading underground to visit the Cango Caves (130 km - approximately 2 hours).

Day 11 Wednesday Cape Town

Depart Oudtshoorn and journey to Cape Town. From July to November your journey will be via Hermanus in the hope of catching a glimpse of the whales; out of season you will take 'Route 62' the inland scenic route (450 km - approximately 5 hours 30 minutes).

Day 12 Thursday Cape Town

Tour the rugged Cape Peninsula, visiting Hout Bay, where you may take an optional cruise to Seal Island. Admire the penguins on Boulders Beach and drive through the naval village of Simon's Town on the way to Cape Town. (200 km - approximately 3 hours).

Day 13 Friday Cape Town

Today visit the beautiful wine regions of Paarl and Stellenbosch, and stop for wine tasting. Enjoy a trip to a museum and the Afrikaans Language Monument. (200 km - approximately 3 hours).

Day 14 Saturday Depart
