Flatdogs Luxury Camp
Flatdogs Camp is an excellent, affordable, independent
camp overlooking the Luangwa River. It is one of the only
'family friendly' camps in Luangwa; children and infants are
welcome year round. It is situated adjacent to the main
entrance of the South Luangwa National Park.
There are 6 chalet rooms as well as 6 safari tents. The
safari tents are set on platforms overlooking the river.
A welcoming bar and dining area where meals can be
enjoyed under the thatch, at the courtyard tables or
garden area overlooking the river. There is also a small
curio shop.
Chundukwa River Lodge
Chundukwa River Lodge is in a fantastic position, 20km
upstream from Victoria Falls, and is home to spectacular
river wildlife and birdlife. The camp is staffed by locals
who can really add color to your experience.
There are 5 open fronted chalets made of natural materials
raised overlooking the river. There is also a 2 bedroomed
family chalet. All the chalets have uninterrupted river views,
mosquito nets, fans and en suite bathrooms.
Facilities include a dining area, camp fire and plunge
pool.
Lion Camp
The position of this camp, on the west bank of the
Luangwa River, is its strongest asset. The camp is
surrounded by lagoon and rich riverine vegetation
which heightens your game viewing experience.
The 10 canvas and thatch chalets are en suite with
shower and are raised on stilts overlooking an ox-bow
lagoon. Each is connected to the central area by a
wooden walkway that is several meters above ground.
Facilities include a small infinity pool on the deck in front
of the camp’s central area, plus a library and small shop.
Children under 12 years are not permitted at this camp.
