Here you can be as active or as relaxed as you wish – early morning balloon flights over the Mara, escorted walking safaris, game drives, visits to neighbouring Masai villages or just sit in one of the rocking chairs on your tent's deck and watch the wildlife pass by. The two camps consist of just 15 tents each, which are superbly decorated. Sanctuary Olonana This elegant and exclusive, rebuilt safari resort has an enviable position right on the banks of the Mara River, over which thousands of wildebeest cross during the annual migration. The 14,130 sq m glass- sided river-view suites have en suite bathroom with shower and a spacious wooden veranda overlooking the river. Three suites have an extra bedroom, ideal for families. Fairmont Mara Safari Club The camp is positioned on the banks of an ox-bow bend in the Mara River, in the Mara North Conservancy. All 50 tents have a view of the hippo and crocodile-filled river. The lodge is surrounded by well-cultivated gardens dotted with indigenous trees. Neptune Mara Rianta Luxury Camp Neptune Mara Rianta is a luxury tented camp, nestled in the heart of the Mara North Conservancy. The 20 luxury tents overlook the Mara River, which is teeming with large groups of hippos. Savour delicious alfresco lunches and evening barbecues around the pool and enjoy Masai dancing and talks on the Masai culture. Mara Engai Wilderness Lodge Overlooking the Masai Mara, the lodge is on the edge of the Mara Triangle – this area is divided from the rest of the Masai Mara by the Mara River, rich in wildlife and home to all members of the 'big 5’. The 20 large tented suites are elevated and have viewing decks to take advantage of the scenery, and are well spaced out to provide privacy.
