The waters from the Chobe River sustains\u00a0Africa&#8217;s greatest elephant population\u00a0who roam the area in impressive herds of up to 400, and it also supports a spectacular variety of birds including ostriches, eagles and storks.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Makgadikgadi<\/b><strong>\u00a0Salt Pans<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The former watery wonder of the\u00a0Makgadikgadi Salt Pans is a haven for birds, with its bright-white sparkle, the result of the once mighty lake that evaporated under the African sun. Today, it is perfect for camera trickery, as across the sea of salt perspective is lost.
