In this week’s ‘Spotted on Safari’ we are delighted to share Effie’s fabulous photos and videos from her recent trip, where she visited Mt Kenya, Aberdares, Samburu, and saw the fabulous Thompson Falls, alongside our Somak Driver Guide Christopher Musyoka, who has been with Somak since 1997.<\/p>\n

We’ll kick off with Mt. Kenya, where she had these spectacular views, as well as stayed at Serena Mountain Lodge.\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>This super lodge, part of the renowned Serena group, offers a matchless game viewing opportunity, whilst combining a glorious panorama of mountain vistas with the primordial splendours of an ancient rainforest. The waterhole is considered one of the most spectacular in the Aberdares, and attracts a near constant stream of wildlife.<\/p>\n

She also had a wonderful view of Thompson Falls, which is a 74 metre scenic waterfall on the Ewaso Nyiro River, which drains from the Aberdare Mountain Range.<\/p>\n

While on a luxury safari holiday, one can experience a whole variety of gourmet culinary experiences, and Effie enjoyed a fabulous Bush Breakfast at the Aberdares County Club.<\/p>\n

What a stunning setting for a delicious breakfast – certainly the right way to start the day!<\/p>\n

On one evening whilst in Samburu during golden hour, she also enjoyed sundowners\u00a0by the idyllic banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Samburu National Reserve at the\u00a0Elephant Bedroom Tented Camp.<\/a><\/p>\n
