However, many visitors head only to the Serengeti, or to Zanzibar. Selous is the largest game reserve in Africa, and contains the world\u2019s largest concentration of elephants. As well as elephants, many of the savannah\u2019s typical animals, such as lions, hippos, crocodiles and buffalo are found in greater numbers in Selous than elsewhere in Africa, and Selous has an impressive number of the elusive African Wild Dog.\u00a0 There is also some fantastic accommodation available in Selous.
