Rwanda is known as the ‘land of a thousand hills’ and is one of the smallest and most beautiful countries. Its main attraction is a gorilla safari, a ‘must’ for any wildlife enthusiast. However, there is so much more to Rwanda. There are rainforests, waterfalls and rivers to explore, some of the rarest primates to seek, warm, friendly locals to meet, delightful hotels in which to relax – the list goes on.<\/p>\n

This park, with its densely forested Virunga volcanoes, is the definitive place to track the rare and captivating mountain gorillas. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful areas in Africa, where the majestic landscape is the backdrop to some of the most unique wildlife encounters in Africa.<\/p>\n

Nyungwe National Park<\/h2>\n

Nestled in the southeast corner of Rwanda, this wonderful mountainous area is home to an impressive 13 primate species. It\u2019s covered with lush virgin rainforest and it\u2019s here that you can find the source of the world\u2019s longest river, the Nile.<\/p>\n

Lake Kivu<\/h2>\n

The largest of numerous freshwater lakes in Rwanda. The lake\u2019s sandy shores are bordered by steep sided hills, making for stunning scenery \u2013 a perfect place to relax after gorilla trekking.<\/p>\n
