Being a driver guide is not the easiest job in the world, but it\u2019s arguably one of the best. When your office is out in the wild\u00a0<\/a><\/span>and you get the chance to see wild animals on a daily basis, it\u2019s no wonder that our driver guides love their job.<\/p>\n

Somak\u2019s dedicated driver guides are knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to Africa\u2019s untamed wilderness, giving you an informative and in-depth safari experience. Since many of our guides are locals and have grown up in the area, they can offer a unique insight into the many animals you\u2019ll see and the new cultures you\u2019ll be immersed in.<\/p>\n

They are always ready to impart their expertise and enthusiasm to their guests as they drive around the African plains.<\/p>\n

How long you’ve been at Somak and what inspired you to become a driver guide?<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
I have worked for Somak since March 1998, so just over 25 years.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I became I guide by default. Somak took me to Utali College to learn about tourism.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
What has changed during the time you’ve worked at Somak?<\/strong><\/div>\n

Honestly we have worked with various bosses. Under Bushra we have grown a lot.<\/div>\n

What is your favourite national park?<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
I honestly don’t have a favourite park cause they are all different and wonderful in there own right!<\/div>\n

Most memorable sighting?<\/strong><\/div>\n

My favourite moment is just have fun with the guests. They make the holiday!<\/div>\n
