We are thrilled to share Nancy from the USA’s experience of a Kenyan Safari with us in our latest edition of African Safari Diaries. She travelled whilst Covid-19 restrictions were still in place but we are happy to share that Kenya has since lifted all restrictions.<\/div>\n

\"Safari<\/h4>\n

What made you choose to go on an African Safari? Was this your first time visiting Kenya and going on safari?<\/h4>\n
Nancy told us that she and her husband first saw this trip advertised by Jim West Craftour\u2019s, a tour company in the US, and that this inspired them to book as they are both animal lovers and love to travel and so this was the perfect match.<\/div>\n

This is the second time they visited beautiful Africa, the first time was a trip\u00a0 to Morocco. However, was their very first safari and hopefully not their last!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

How did you hear about Somak Luxury Travel?<\/h4>\n

Nancy said: “We try to travel with Jim at Craftour\u2019s as much as possible because he puts together trips like no other!”<\/p>\n


Where did you stay whilst on your Safari and what was your favourite property?<\/h4>\n
The first few days of our trip we toured around Nairobi and stayed at the Nairobi Serena Hotel! \u00a0Absolutely gorgeous, rooms above average the food top notch! \u00a0A true delight.<\/div>\n

When we were on safari we upgraded to tents with windows and doors at Sweet Water Serena Camp! Fantastic! Beautiful! Peaceful!\u00a0 Seeing animals at the watering hole was outstanding!<\/div>\n

What were your highlights from your trip?<\/h4>\n

The safari naturally seeing all the animals roaming free melts my heart. \u00a0Culturally, I enjoyed Karen Blixen museum, visiting the animal sanctuary (elephants and giraffes).. there are too many highlights to mention them all!<\/div>\n

Our driver was Dan and our group absolutely loved him! \u00a0Thank you for making our dream come true in your beautiful country!<\/div>\n

Any advice or tips for anyone thinking of going on a Safari? Any thoughts on travelling post-covid?<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Africa was extremely conscious of Covid 19, they took extra special precautions by wearing masks, having\u00a0 sanitising stations and gloves at the buffets. wWe were all very impressed with this!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
