The Golden Triangle The Golden Triangle

The perfect introduction to the wonders of north India. The three cities of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra make up India's 'Golden Triangle' and give a fantastic snapshot of the colours and spectacles of this land of wonders.

On this India holiday you will visit many famous and spectacular sites such as the Red Fort in Delhi, the Samode Palace in Jaipur and the majestic and romantic Taj Mahal in Agra, amongst many other wondrous sites.

As you embark on your journey through this land you will experience the sights and sounds of India. Your tour manager is at your service throughout your trip to bring you face-to-face with the many aspects of this vast and vibrant land.

Day 1 Delhi

Met at Delhi International Airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight: VIVANTA BY TAJ DWARKA, NEW DELHI.

Day 2 Delhi

Visit Old Delhi and New Delhi. Visit Chandni Chowk, Jama Mosque, drive past the Red Fort. Visit the spice market and take a rickshaw ride. Make a photo stop at India Gate, drive past Government buildings, visit Agrasen Ki Baoli Stepwell and The Bangla Sahib Sikh Temple.
Overnight: VIVANTA BY TAJ DWARKA, NEW DELHI.

Day 3 Jaipur

Drive to Jaipur, en route stop at the Samode Palace for lunch.
Overnight: Ikaki Niwas.
Meals : Breakfast and Lunch

Day 4 Jaipur

Enjoy a trip to Amber Fort, a marvellous example of Rajput architecture with its terraces and ramparts reflected in the Maota Lake below. Visit a local school, interact with kids and perhaps do some charitable work. Visit City Palace, a complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways, make a photo stop at 'Palace of Winds'. The opportunity to wander about a local market famous for cotton.
Overnight: Ikaki Niwas.
Meals : Breakfast

Day 5 Agra

Drive to Agra and visit the oldest and grandest stepwell of Rajasthan at Abhaneri. Late afternoon visit Mehtab Gardens for a spectacular view of the Taj Mahal, from across the River Yamuna.
Overnight: Crystal Sarova Premier.
Meals : Breakfast

Day 6 Delhi

Visit the magnificent Taj Mahal and the Red Fort. Later drive back to Delhi.
Overnight: VIVANTA BY TAJ DWARKA, NEW DELHI.
Meals : Breakfast

Day 7 Depart

Transfer to Delhi International Airport for your onward travel arrangements.
Meals : Breakfast

Note: The Red Fort is closed on Mondays and the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.

Extensions

Udaipur

For the Udaipur Extension, the Golden Triangle will start at Delhi, continue to Agra and finish at Jaipur.

Day 1 Udaipur
Flight from Jaipur to Udaipur, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight: Udai Kothi.

Day 2 Udaipur
Udaipur sightseeing - walk through the old city, visit City Palace and Pratap Memorial. Visit Sahelion Ki Bagh. Drive past Fateh Sagar Lake and enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Overnight: Udai Kothi. (b)

Day 3 Delhi
Flight from Udaipur to Delhi, as per main Golden Triangle itinerary. Overnight: Hilton Garden Inn. (b)


Ranthambore
The Ranthambore Extension will take place between Jaipur and Agra.

Day 1 Ranthambore
Drive from Jaipur to Ranthambore. Overnight: Ranthambore Kothi. (b,d)

Day 2 Ranthambore
Morning and afternoon game drives in Ranthambore national park using a shared jeep. Overnight: Ranthambore Kothi. (b,l,d)

Day 3 Agra
Drive to Agra and continue with the Golden Triangle. (b)
