Day 1 Mahabalipuram

Met on arrival at Chennai International Airport and transferred to Mahabalipuram.
Overnight: Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay.

Day 2 Mahabalipuram

In the morning visit the Shore temple, Five Rathas and Arjuna's Penance rock structures. In the afternoon explore the local backpackers market at Mahabalipuram.
Overnight: Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay.
Meals : Breakfast

Day 3 Pondicherry

Leisurely drive to Pondicherry. In the afternoon make a visit to Shri Aurobindo Ashram, Sacred Heart church, walk through colonial Pondicherry and along the beach. Take a rickshaw ride. Late afternoon, sit and relax at one of the cafes in Old Pondicherry for a cup of tea or coffee.
Overnight: Palais De Mahe.

Day 4 Tanjore

Drive to Tanjore and visit Chidambaram and Gangaikonda Cholapuram en route.
Overnight: Svatma.
Meals : Breakfast

Day 5 Tanjore

Visit Brihadishvara Temple (UNESCO Heritage Site) in Tanjore and the Srirangam temple at Trichy. Also visit a brass idol and traditional musical instrument making factory.
Overnight: Svatma.
Meals : Breakfast

Day 6 Chettinad

Drive to Chettinad. Explore the magnificent old mansions and visit the local market and a traditional tile making factory. Chettinad is famous for its cuisine which you may wish to try.
Overnight: Chidambara Vilas.

Day 7 Madurai

Drive to Madurai. Visit the Meenakshi temple and Thirumalai Nayak palace. Take a walk through the local flower market.
Overnight: The Gateway Hotel Pasumalai.
Meals : Breakfast

Day 8 Periyar

Drive to Periyar. In the late afternoon visit the spice market at Kumily. In the evening, witness Kalaripayattu martial arts show.
Overnight: Spice Village.
Meals : Breakfast

Day 9 Periyar

Early morning boat ride on Lake Periyar. Walk through the spice plantations. Take an optional elephant ride. Witness a cooking demonstration and enjoy a freshly cooked meal.
Overnight: Spice Village.
Meals : Breakfast and Dinner

Day 10 Kumarakom

Drive to Kumarakom. Free afternoon to relax, or you may choose from activities like an Ayurvedic massage, village walk, row a country boat through the backwater canals, or a visit to a coir making unit.
Overnight: Kumarakom Lake Resort.
Meals : Breakfast

Day 11 Kumarakom

In the morning join a houseboat cruise. Sail through the backwaters. Lunch on board. Option of taking canoe boats through narrow channels to observe local life. Tea and coffee will be served onboard. Disembark from houseboat and overnight at your hotel.
Overnight: Kumarakom Lake Resort.
Meals : Breakfast and Lunch

Day 12 Kochi

Drive to Kochi. Visit the Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, see Chinese fishing nets, walk through Fort Kochi area. Witness a show of Kerala's performing arts at Greenix Theatre.
Overnight: Brunton Boatyard Hotel.
Meals : Breakfast

Day 13 Depart

Transfer to Kochi International Airport for your onward travel arrangements.
