drier. The normally arid plains of the Mara turn a lush verdant
green in May and June. The storms provide spectacular sunsets,
and there are relatively few visitors around the parks at this
time of the year.
In June Zanzibar
experiences drier weather conditions after the rains. With less
humidity and relatively uncrowded beaches, the island offers a
tranquil environment on which to unwind.
In South Africa
the weather in the Western Cape is always unpredictable in
winter months. However, there is always plenty for visitors to
enjoy. Visits to Cape Point or across the waters to Robben
Island, to Stellenbosch for the wine festival or to Hermanus
for the start of the whale watching season.
