Xakanaxa Camp Xakanaxa Camp

Xakanaxa (pronounced ka-ka-na-ka) is one of Botswana's first safari camps, and the owners have gone to extraordinary lengths to preserve its original character, whilst providing guests with every comfort.
The emphasis here is on discreet personal service, to ensure maximum enjoyment.

Its prime location ensures that it is one of the only safari camps which can provide guests with an authentic, year-round Okavango Delta land and water safari experience.

Location of Xakanaxa Camp

On the banks of the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve.

Facilities at Xakanaxa Camp

A dining room, lounge and bar area, plus a viewing deck and an evening campfire on a deck over the river. Meals are traditional safari fare served with a Pan-African touch. Dinner is accompanied by excellent South African wines. Meals are generally taken around the main dining room table where tales of the day's exciting experiences are recounted and discussed in great detail. Guests wishing to dine in private can also be catered for. A plunge pool in which to cool down and a curio shop are on site. Activities include game drives in open Land Rovers, water-based game viewing in mokoros and powerboats exploring the Okavango.
