Reservations Consultants - Africa, India, Indian Ocean + Middle East
Due to the expansion of the business, there is a need to strengthen the reservations department. Although previous experience in the travel industry is not essential, we will expect the successful applicants to have a polite and confident telephone manner. Previous experience in a telephone sales environment would be advantageous. Although formal on-site training will be conducted on all our products, the successful applicants will be expected to complete a self-study programme that will enhance and develop knowledge of all the destinations that we feature. This position will present the successful applicant with an opportunity to learn, in depth, about all aspects of Tour Operating; naturally, there is a rigorous training programme, which may involve overseas travel. Apart from selling ‘Brochured’ holidays on the telephone, a fair percentage of enquiries will be for holidays that are ‘Tailor-made’; this will test not only your product knowledge and ability to put together complex itineraries, but also your ability to cost and price numerous components of a holiday to create a ‘Tailor-made’ package.
Reservations Consultants - Far East
In January 2005 we launched a brand new programme of holidays to the Far East. We are experiencing a high level of interest from agents and customers and want to grow our dedicated team. In addition to the skills listed above, some knowledge of the Far East would be an advantage.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
