The Porini Camps are a collection of camps which are run on the ethos of responsible tourism. Porini Camps consist of four different camps which are Porini Amboseli, Mara Porini Lion Camp, Porini Rhino Camp and Porini Mara Camp. All the Porini Camps are located in their own conservancies just outside the game reserves. Porini Amboseli, Porini Lion, Porini Rhino and Porini Mara camps are exclusive small eco-friendly tented camps that consist of between six and ten tents depending on each individual camp. At all the Porini Camps the biggest focus is on responsible tourism and sustainable conservation. The Porini Camps are lit by solar power with water saving safari showers and flush toilets. Porini Camps provides employment for many of the local people. This relationship is vital in educating the local communities in the preservation of the wildlife in the area. All of the Porini Camps are featured by Somak Holidays, either as an individual wildlife experience or in an itinerary such as the Porini Wilderness Experience. The Porini Wilderness Experience is a six night itinerary and includes three of the Porini Camps staying at Porini Amboseli Camp, Porini Rhino Camp and Porini Lion Camp. All the Porini Camps offer day and night game drives conducted in open sided vehicles and guided safari walks which will definitely enhance your wildlife experience in the heart of the African bush.
