Remote, camps, very close to wildlife make this safari magical.

The itinerary begins in Laikipia, an area of beautiful wilderness where protected game roam freely and safely.

You are invited to stay in one of only seven rooms at Loisaba Lodge, perched high on the edge of the plateau looking south towards Mount Kenya. One night can be spent in a Star Bed. Your bed is pulled out, under the stars where you spend the night. You might wake up to find elephants swimming in the pool below, with warthogs and gazelles waiting at the side of the pool!

Your stay here is inclusive of soft drinks, beer, house wine, non-luxury spirits, day and night game drives, guided bush walks, mountain biking, horse riding, camel riding, tennis, croquet and laundry service. Quad biking available (extra charges apply).

Onto Elephant Pepper Camp, named after a tree! There are just 8 tents in this camp which is packed up annually, without leaving a trace of its existence on the environment. Evenings are spent by the campfire and dinner is taken under the stars.

DAY 1 DAILY - HEATHROW-NAIROBI
Fly from Heathrow overnight to Nairobi.

DAY 2 - MOUNT KENYA
On arrival transfer to Wilson airport for your flight by light aircraft to Nanyuki (approximately 1 hour). Met and transferred to your lodge. The remainder of the day is free to relax. Overnight: Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. (l,d)

DAY 3 - MOUNT KENYA
Full day at leisure to enjoy the activities offered by the club. Overnight: Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club. (b,l,d)

DAY 4 - LAIKIPIA
After breakfast transfer to Nanyuki airstrip for your chartered light aircraft flight to Loisaba. Met on arrival and transferred to the lodge. Afternoon game activity. Activities include day and night game drives, guided walks, horse, camel and mountain bike rides. Also included are sundowners, bush meals and laundry. Overnight: Loisaba Lodge. (b,l,d)

DAY 5 - LAIKIPIA

We recommend a 1-night stay in a Star Bed, these are raised wooden platforms with 4-poster beds on wheels that can either be under the stars or the thatched roofs.

DAY 7 - MASAI MARA
Transfer to Loisaba airstrip for the flight to the Masai Mara (approximately 1 hour 10 minutes). Met and transferred to your lodge. Afternoon game drive. Overnight: Elephant Pepper Camp. (b,l,d)

DAY 8 - MASAI MARA
Take an early morning balloon safari over the Mara followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast (optional extra) or a game drive followed by breakfast. After lunch enjoy a late afternoon game drive. Overnight: Elephant Pepper Camp. (b,l,d)

DAY 9 - MASAI MARA
Take an early morning balloon safari over the Masai Mara followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast (optional extra) or a game drive followed by breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure. After lunch enjoy a late afternoon game drive. Overnight: Elephant Pepper Camp (b,l,d)

DAY 10 - EXTENSION OR HEATHROW
Light aircraft flight to Nairobi (approximately 1 hour), then proceed with chosen extension or return to Heathrow. (b) Option to fly from the Mara to Mombasa on day 10 (includes lunch in the Mara) - prices on request.
