Lombok

Though much less visited than neighbouring Bali, Lombok offers a wonderful combination of scenery, culture and fine beaches with luxury resorts. After some time enjoying the beach, the best way to discover the island's charms is by car. Driving around the island's more untouched areas you can explore the lush paddy fields, small villages and remote temples. There are countless handicraft markets but Lombok can also be explored at a slower pace, through simple walks along the peaceful headlands and the narrow lanes of the quiet, unspoilt rural communities.
