Zambia
Zambia's leading sights are:
Victoria Falls
The point where the mighty Zambezi River plunges into a chasm some 108 metres below. Victoria Falls is a spectacular sight any time of the year and the area offers a wide range of river, land and air-based activities from relaxing sunset cruises to high thrill micro-light and helicopter flights.
Lochinvar National Park
A World Heritage Wetland Site famous for its concentration of over 400 recorded species of birds. Also a great place to view buffaloes, zebras and wildebeest.
South Luangwa National Park
Zambia's leading safari destination is one of Africa's best places for walking safaris, although 'traditional' safaris in vehicles are also offered. The park has an abundance of game including leopards, lions and elephants.
Lower Zambezi National Park
The Lower Zambezi National Park covers an area of over 4000 square kilometres, with most of the game concentrated on the valley floor. Enormous herds of elephant, some up to 100 strong, are often seen at the rivers edge. The park also hosts good populations of lion, leopard and wild dog whilst the bird life along the riverbanks is exceptional.
