Eastern Cape

The Eastern Cape is located at one end of the Garden Route. The diverse scenery includes the rugged coastline, Tsitsikamma Forest and Drakensberg Mountains. The coast offers miles of unspoilt beaches and the opportunity to take part in many water-based activities including surfing in the paradise of the famous Jeffrey's Bay. This area is becoming one of the fastest growing nature conservation areas in South Africa. The main highlight of the Eastern Cape is the malaria-free game reserves.

Jeffrey's Bay
Is renowned for being one of the world’s top surfing destinations. Many international surfers have visited the bay which has become an ideal destination with safe beaches and a relaxed atmosphere. The variety of shops from surf to craft and the wide choice of restaurants give further reasons to visit this area.

Tsitsikamma National Park
The park protects over 80km of coastal landscape, which has been formed by rivers that have carved deep ravines into the ancient forests. There are many hiking paths that can be taken within the park which offer the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife and flora.
