Lamu / Kiwayu beach
The Lamu Archipelago is a small group of islands situated on Kenya's
northern coastline. The largest of the islands include Lamu, Manda, Pate
and Kiwayu, each offering a peaceful retreat with endless beaches and
crystal clear waters. Lamu Island is known for having the oldest living
Swahili town, with many of the narrow streets remaining unchanged. Very
few vehicles are on the island and donkeys and dhows remain the prime
forms of transport.
